We were very impressed with not only your ability to take him on infront of over 1000 people, but we are very excited about your business model. G. Sweet! We will soon have the full debate for the rest of the world to see. Now others will have to make a decision for themselves for who made the best arguments. My thoughts...Dalton was aggressively and humorously defending his clients...Realtors. Glenn had some interesting points but didn't convince me his model is going to take over the real estate world. There may be a demand for it...but at this point it seems to be small.

Thanks for the first video... Like many others, I'm waiting for the rest!

Sellsius - thanks for posting that... it's great for those of us that couldn't make the conference. As for the guy above me (hi!), the demand may indeed seem small at this time, the operative phrase being 'at this time'. It's Redfin's ability to see the future that will leave them (and those like them) standing in 50 years time, long after we've all retired. Stop thinking 'now' and start thinking 'tomorrow'.

Mr. Dalton makes a powerful value added proposition regarding the skills of Realtors. It's very difficult to automate such things as negotiating ability and staging experience.

I sent them the podcast to show what happens to a dynamic speaker when you make him sit in a chair, and he still tries to talk with his hands in a Podcast :)

We will have to train everyone on how to be dynamic, without needing to be standing up LOL

Thank you for putting up the entire debate- I've been hearing about it and curious so this is great.

Is it me? Did I read into the video to much? Dalton seems so passionate about the "traditional Realtor" and makes his stand so clear. Wheareas Kelman - I did not get it. I understand that his model is to "empower" the buyer - but his empowering = money. Aren't they paying their buyers to work with them - he said that Redfin Agents - dont want to take buyers out. They got tired of driving people around. So - The Redfin agent wants to do less?


Redfin is going to Boston. This should be interesting.
