Billboard Building Wins Architecture Award

Brendan O’Grady’s design for an urban living space (subsidized urban living module) won Best in Category (Professional digital/hybrid) for 2007 in the prestigious Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition for architectural drawings.  Mr. O’Grady is with Nocturnal Design Lab of Dallas, Texas.  The KRob Competition is the longest running architectural delineation contest in the world (history of the event here).

Can you imagine living in a billboard building?  The traffic noise? Pollution?  And your paperboy better have a good arm.

This type of  urban architecture is similar to front architect’s Single Hauz (pictured below)

See all winners in the 33rd Annual KRob competition here.

Those sure are unique billboards. I can not imagine living in that crazy looking “billboard home”. You hit the nail on the head with living in that environment.
