MAD Architecture

These MAD architects are based in Beijing, China.

Absolute Towers (Toronto, Canada)

Fake Hills (China)

Xiamen Museum (China)

Tokyo Island (The WORLD, Dubai)

Guangzhou Twin tower (proposed skyscraper, China)

h/t Dark Roasted Blend

The buildings are fantastic but some of the amenities are a bit strange. Take, for instance, this combination shower toilet.

  • Yeah, that shower toilet is something :)
  • Technically the Absolute towers are in Mississauga, which is just outside of Toronto.(where the airport it, about 750k population... also where i live!)...

Great post, hadn't seen these other buildings before. Can't wait until they start building one of them in my home town!
  • So how many of these are actually built?

To the best of my knowledge, none have been completed, although the Absolute Towers are closest. BTW, they will rotate 360 degrees.
  • がんばってください。
  • re toilets and vertical smiles

Fabulous space saving idea and far more functional than getting up to use the bidet.

Question is whether it has water pressure restriction. Let's hope so.
