How to Add A Link to Your Email Address

It may be easier for a potential client to click a link to send an email to you.

Creating the email link on your blog or website is easy.

Simply highlight the text you’d like to link to your email address (it can even be your email address).  Click the chain link icon and insert this into the Link URL box:

mailto:youremailaddresshere

email link post

(You can have the link open in a new window by selecting from the Target.)

The result can be like this:  Email me now. Or this: sellsius@gmail.com.

  • What about email address harvesting robots that look for just that kind of link and then spam you to death. I know spam filters have gotten pretty good but sometimes... sometimes... you have to venture into your spam box because a valid email has been picked up and you wouldn't want to wade through X thousands of spam emails, would you? Seems to me a form with Captcha would be better. After all, someone whom you're already dealing with would have your email and anyone whom you send a reply email to would get your email then. No?
  • Good quick tip. Don't know why I didn't think of it before

  • Yes, that is a risk. You could use txtninja to foil the spam bots http://tr.im/ECSP
    Or Tinymail.me http://tr.im/ECT9.
