The Ominous Comma is my newest discovery on MyBlogLog. It provides “intelligent humor for the enlightened masses”. Ample doses.
Now, you gotta be careful with this intelligent humor stuff. Parody, irony and satire (sometimes in cartoon disguises or whimsical rhyme), are often misinterpreted by the humor-deprived as unenlightened stuff, quite unbecoming a weblog. Although use of these blog tools are best left to professionals like Brent Diggs (otherwise someone gets hurt), humor is one of the best weapons against the pretentious, the know-it-alls, and assorted windbags.
So who is this Brent Diggs, who provides such a nobel and vital public service for meager pay?
Brent Diggs is an author. In fact, he authors this very site. Moreover,* every last word on this site has been written and authored by Brent Diggs. You simply cannot get any more authorly than this man.
*Use of the word “moreover” is one of the surest signs of professional authorship, as is the free coinage of silly new words without regard for Shakespeare, the King’s English, or the plight of overworked dictionary publishers.
