Blog Lottery?

Blogs running lotteries? Could this be the next wave of innovative ways to market your blog. Pay for links or tags.

I saw this post on MicroPersuasion pointing to a little blog lottery run by Jakob Lodwick. Here’s how it works. Tag his blog post on del.icio.us and on July 14th he will randomly choose a tagger to win $100. Is this legal, immoral or fattening? I don’t know but it’s another way to get traffic to your blog. He’s got 2,569 tags to his blog post and counting.

(Pros can ignore this one). If you’ve heard of del.icio.us but have not visited because you can’t remember how to enter the URL, here’s a tip. Just type delicious.com & bingo you’re there. Or better yet, just bookmark it.

I don’t like it. If they can producing good content they will get the links. If they have a good plan they can also. Like Sellsius, hopefully like us. Larry Cragun

larry - i’m with you. if bloggers are unique with their content and opinions, then they should get the traffic - organically. as new bloggers, we are still learning what works and what doesn’t work ourselves.

    blog on my friend!
