A Phoenix blogger insists he should be the keynote speaker at the 2008 Inman Blogger Connect conference. Otherwise, it ain’t no place to learn nuttin’.
Here is the quote:
Is he dissing all these speakers at the event (that would truly be mad) or just the skeptical Dr. Shermer.
Hmm… when was the last time Seth Godin sold a house? Seth Godin was the keynote speaker at the Inman Real Estate NYC Connect conference earlier this year and no one felt “spit on”.
What’s odd is this blogger says Inman Connects are icky , a waste of his time, and he doesn’t “go North in the winter” (makes sense). Besides, in turning down an invitation to speak at an Inman conference this past summer, he said he “didn’t want my reputation to lend credibility to things I don’t endorse.” (emphasis added, doublespeak in the original). Now, one might call it noble to stand firm on one’s beliefs, except for the fact that the guy might be swayed if you dangled an “honorarium” before him. (I know I can get my dog to roll over for a biscuit.)
Again, in his own words:
Gee, maybe one could learn something from this guy.

Please, please tell me that’s photoshoped. Love this site.
You guys are wrong. He wants to be the Bloodhound News, BloodHound Connect, Bloodhound The King
@Brian– not sure. Got it from Google images. Thanks.
@Lar– In my book, he’s only achieved Bloodhound the Blacklister. That makes for propaganda, a disconnect and a blog dictator (or blogtator).
Speaking of Connect, being in your backyard and all I need the scoop on eating spots near Times Square. Relatively cheap would be good (if such a thing exists - priced a hotel room in Times Square lately?)
Not photoshopped. That’s Sam. He won the “Ugliest Dog” award. http://SamUgliestDog.com/ - saw part of the show once a few months back.
The Bloodhound Kennel is house trained and only pees on its Zestifarm!

“The Bloodhound Kennel is house trained and only pees on its Zestifarm!”
There are 5 or 6 in the “Bloodhound Kennel” that are speaking at Connect. Not every Bloodhound contributor agrees with everything everyone says there. We do have independent minds you know.
picking on the hound will come back and bite yo in the . . . what ever
@Jay: I respect all the writers over at BHB but I have serious problems with Swann, as you can tell. Although not the subject of this post, his blacklisting comments offends my principles of free speech. However one feels about blacklisting comments on his own posts, I do not see the justification to blacklist comments on his contributor’s posts, which are their copyrighted works– why should he control their conversation as well?
I know many of the writers there and have tried to post comments to their posts– but Greg won’t let them through. How many of the contributing writers know that comments to their posts are censored? How many would agree with the practice? He talks about Inman’s “Rust Curtain”. It is nothing compared to his own “Blogiron Curtain”– it’s Goebbelsesque IMO.
@T: I’ve got my shots

JF - LOL
Look forward to seeing you guys again- at Connect. I think the Connect’s are the best conferences out there because they are focused around technology in real estate.
You guys are always a blast- see you soon!

Same here, Greg.
Anyone who knocks the Connect that has never attended is prejudging it. Now, what rational person would do that?
PS: Your comment brought me a nice flashback to our time together.

Hmm. What is the deal with that picture? I don’t even see it relating to the connect story. Hmm.
The dog is a metaphor.
