Next time you visit, impress your friends with this little tip many New Yorkers do not even know about. If you wander the park and lose your bearings, find the nearest lampost and read the numbered metal plate or painted numbers. The first 2 digits will tell you the cross street. Some will even have a letter corresponding to (E)ast (W)est & (C)enter of the park.
