Fight and you’ll never survive….. Run and you’ll never escape. ~ from City of God
One of my favorite films is City of God, the gritty true story about life in the slums of Rio de Janeiro and one man’s journey out through his photography.

Pretty Fences Make Good….

Good fences make good neighbors ~ Robert Frost

The Lace Fence, embroidered by Demakersvan, brings art to this atrocious man-made boundary– the link fence.

Art As Advertising

McDavid could win the Worth1000 ArtAds2 contest. It’s a classic. The great thing about using classical art in advertising is its familiarity to viewers. The incongruity resulting from the addition of advertising elements only adds to the visual appeal. In other words, it gets noticed. Another plus—the artwork is usually copyright free.
