Forever Young Treehouses: What kid doesn’t love a treehouse? Think how a kid in a wheechair feels. These folks know and are out to change things. Based in Vermont.
FoodGatherers.org: Michigan. Fights hunger by rescuing food from wasteful disposal from restaurants and other establishments. 4,500 meals a day to 150 community programs is good work.
FisherHouse.org: Keeping military families close in time of need by providing “comfort homes” on major military & VA medical centers. Much more good work for those that serve including scholarships.
Chrysalis: Helping the homeless and economically disadvantaged become self-sufficient through job opportunites. The “teach a man to fish” philosophy at work. Skid Row, Downtown Los Angeles; Santa Monica
CATCH Housing: New Hampshire. Helping families purchase homes and access affordable housing in the Concord area.
National Coalition for the Homeless: A grand mission: to end homelessness. Sellsius’ charity of choice.
