I can't imagine being fired for blogging about real estate! Time for brokerage/social media school 101. There's always a right “fit” however,.. and good riddance it seems for both parties. Misrepresenting a listing, a violation of a fiduciary relationship, yes.. but Realtors are certainly allowed to have opinions and hang the license where you are most supported. We are allowed to express views and if the condo owners are exposed as thugs.. then so-be-it. We are also responsible to expose and explain a good investment from a risky investment. Developers need thick skins and to tend to their business. If he's in trouble.. wouldn't those attorney's fees he's racking up be better served on his development? From what I am reading, this one has done more damage to himself than any blogger could have. There are also bloggers who do damage to themselves by bullying others in the industry it seems. Not good Karma. Give it a rest.
I vote “frivolous” indeed.

Christine, you definitely do have unique situation. I wish you well. I’m lucky that my broker could care less about what I blog about, as long as I don’t cross any legal lines. And if I did, he would probably never know, since he doesn’t even read my blog. Sometimes he will even tell me something about the market and I’ll have to correct him. “Hey broker, if you read my blog you would know homes in that neighborhood are selling for $xx /sq ft.” It’s kind of funny.
