More and more real estate agents are using You Tube to post free videos of their listings. And themselves.
Currently, there are 9,573 video results for “real estate”. Yes, You Tube is immensely popular (Alexa rank: 16) but can the posted videos attract a buyer? A client? Is it a matter of creatively using the medium, hoping for a viral marketing hit, or misplaced advertising to a fragmented market of viewers?
With millions of visitors, maybe it’s worth a shoot :).Ā Would you ever consider putting a listing up?












I think I might have early on, but now I think I would choose another venue, such as TurnHere or InmanStories, which are more tuned to real estate and haven’t gone the way of MySpace (culturally cutting edge). md
Yes, a video to a target audience is the preferred method of place advertising. But does the appeal of free encourage you to look outside the target area & hope for a viral ad via a heavily trafficked site like myspace or youtube?
Consider this: you rent rooms for students—video ads on youtube might yield good results as your market is there.
