Keep Carpets Clean Gift: The ShoeBee

In Atlantic City, I met Charles Cohen, the inventor of an ingenious device that prevents folks from tracking dirt into your house, especially on rainy and snowy days. Simply have them step into ShoeBee and it automatically wraps their shoes in a plastic booty.

The portable ShoeBee is no bigger than a shoebox. I tried it out and it worked as advertised. Charles Cohen told me it took him several years to perfect the Shoebee. He has a patent. He was selling it at Triple Play, a real estate agent conference. Hmm… this could be used during Open Houses. Certainly, the homeowner would appreciate the agent’s concern. Heck, put your logo on the sides.

Great idea, Charles. Good luck.

Cost: $29.5 plus $12.95 S&H (includes 50 plastic booties)
100 Plastic booty refills: $7.95

  • This is a great invention. I don't know how many times I got to visit a house (forget Open Houses...regular showings) where the showing instructions are "remove shoes". Might be new carpet. Might be a cultural thing. One thing, for sure, it ain't green. The little bootie things would have to be pretty biodegradable.

    Nevertheless, nice invention.

For sure, and I think open house visitors would also appreciate it. I know I would prefer it to taking off my shoes.
  • I totally love this thing. Could be a great ice breaker at an open house. "Trust me! Just put your foot in there."

Not particularly earth friendly though Joseph. :)

Make it green and it takes it to another level.
