Free Conference Calls & Podcasts: TalkShoe

Talkshoe is an easy to use conference calling and podcasting tool. It’s FREE! Simply sign up, download the software and you’re ready to host a private or public talkcast. Here’s how:

Choose the topic, create the Talkcast, schedule an episode(s), and invite guests to participate. Talkcasts can be public, so that anyone on the website can join, or unlisted, for only invited friends, family, or associates. Talkcasts have names, descriptions, starting times, durations, etc. Once the Talkcast has begun, the host has control over the conference and can use features such as See-Who’s-Talking, mute and unmute phone or chat, manage Requests to talk, etc.

Here’s the best part— Talkcasts can be recorded and the podcasts shared on your website and on Talkshoe. Check the Talkshoe Talkcast Directory for podcasts of interest and ideas.

Real estate broker/agent tip: Use Talkshoe to host and record a podcast on a local real estate issue. Put it on your blog or website. Post it on Talkshoe for others to find, comment on, and share. Create a library of how-tos or interviews. Use your market keywords in the episode description, since the talkcasts are indexed on Google, MSN, Yahoo and the other search engines. It is a great way to market your real estate expertise to your readers.

Rudy & I held a private Talkcast today with Dan Green and Linda Davis to prepare for our upcoming Blogging Panel at TechFair (Tuesday,October 16, 2007), an annual event held by the Long Island MLS (LIMLS).
