How to Create Custom Graphic Ads for Craigslist, eBay: GoGoPin

GoGoPin makes it easy to create custom eye-catching ads that will stand out from the crowd on Craigslist, eBay or anywhere else you can paste the ad code. (You can also export your ad to a JPEG image or PDF file). It’s totally FREE!

Creating an ad is simple. You can include:

  • Photos (from your PC, Flickr or Picassa)

  • Clip art
  • Text
  • Speech bubbles
  • Arrows
  • Graphs
  • Shapes
  • You can even add photos taken with your cellphone simply by texting them to GoGoPin
  • Easily move, edit, delete, enlarge or rotate any element

Here’s a screenshot of the area where I created a sample ad:

Now, here’s the cool part. Once you’re done, click “Export” to copy the ad code (you can also download it as a JPEG or PDF):

  • Craiglist
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • any website or page that accepts HTML code

Now go to Craigslist, eBay, or anywhere you can embed HTML, and paste the GoGoPin code into your ad. Presto! (below is the ad on Craigslist)

You have to give GoGoPin a go.

I met the GoGoPin guys at RISMedia and was impressed with their product demo. What endeared them to me was they personalized their press kit to me on the spot, when I went to visit them at their booth. I wish them great success.

Who is GoGoPin? MotionCloud, Inc., is a startup from Lynnwood, Washington.

However, GoGoPin is preparing upgraded service that allows you to add youtube videos.
  • Can Gogopin be used for video? I shoot my own video for my won listings and would love to embed video on Craigslist.

    Hi Tim,

Regarding your comment, when you save your work, you have to
put the keywords you would like to get indexed/searched by Craigslist or
search engines. Even though the whole ad is converted to JPEG, the
keywords you put when you export will remain as text and will be attached
to the ad on the buttom, making the ad searchable.

So, it is important to put right keywords when you save and export!!

    Hope this helps.

The ads look nice, but the text is rendered as an image and therefore harder for search engines to index (if at all). Links on Craigslist are nofollow, but the ads themselves are still indexed and searchable for the most part.

Since they can be embedded on any site, users should take note of this and consider copying and pasting their ad text into the page as actual text along with the image text.
  • Thanks for the tips Tim.
  • You find it all!

  • Wow - this seems like a pretty cool new tool to use, and it sounds simple enough to use as well. And FREE - who wouldn't like that!?!?!? Thanks for sharing.
  • It was very ease to use. Basic functions are add (from the toolbar), edit,
rotate, enlarge and delete. There is a handy help section and demo video
    too.
