Rentmatic goes live today. It was created to help small landlords do the two most important tasks:
1. collect rent from tenants via automatic withdrawals from tenants’ bank accounts (no merchant accounts or PayPal); and
2. communicate with tenants via bulk or group email blasts. Send reminders or public notices.
Set up a free account. There is no minimum rent roll.
The only cost is $3.95 per month for each apartment that uses automatic rent payment. (landlords with over 25 tenants can get a volume discount)
There are other features for landlords:
- monthly rent rolls showing total building revenue and tenant payments.
Any discrepancies are highlighted. - upload information, documents and photos concerning the building or apartments
- set up online rent applications (link to them from Craigslist or other listings). Landlord gets an email notice when an application is submitted online.
- Google maps integration
- archived history of all tenant/landlord communications
- TrustWave’s Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software encrypts the information you input
A neat tenant feature is the ability to win $50 in the monthly tenant lottery.
Rentmatics is based in San Francisco.
I like Rentmatics and think it can have application in other contexts where monthly payments are required.
Good luck Rentmatic.
