If you want to know where a tiny URL is going to take you before you click it, then try using LongURL’s expander.
You can expand any shortened URL* at longurl.org but a better way is to install the LongURL Mobile Expander Firefox extension or, if you use the Greasmonkey Firefox add-on, you can install a Greasemonkey script. (I went with the Greasemonkey script, since I have it already installed. It works fine.)
Now, if when you rollover a tiny URL, you’ll see where the link goes:
*The expander tool works on all the abbreviated urls, including snip, tinyurl.com, is.gd, ping.fm, ur1.ca, bit.ly, snipurl.com, tweetburner.com, metamark.net, url.ie, x.se, 6url.com, yep.it, piurl.com, and more!
