Measure Your Website Speed: Website Speed Test

Load speed is the time required to load your web page, including all objects (eg Plug ins). Slow website loads speeds can cause readers to leave your website or blog. Measure your load speed at Website Speed test. A load time near 2 seconds is good.

Here’s how the results are displayed. Run it several times.

Pingdom (http://www.pingdom.com/) is another just brilliant service for testing and monitoring your website.

For a quick test of loadtime, go to http://tools.pingdom.com ad your URL at the top and see, not only total loadtime, but also each part;

“The Full Page Test loads a complete HTML page including all objects (images, CSS, JavaScripts, RSS, Flash and frames/iframes). It mimics the way a page is loaded in a web browser.”

Joe - the most ironic thing is that I just went on that site and it took FOREVER to load!

I think that http://site-perf.com/ produces more accurate and detailed web performance results than tools mentioned above.
