I like video, slideshows and any type of visual communication tool (we all
know photos are a must). Besides providing another way to communicate, it
adds other marketing channels-- the video sites, including the oft
overlooked "how to" sites. I think video may also be useful for
communicating neighborhood flavor and client testimonials. To the extent
video can create an emotional response and trigger a call to an agent, I'm
all for it.

The problems revolve around cost to hire a pro vs. DIY difficulty. There
are some solutions. One CT broker I met at RISMedia in NYC uses Animoto and
video syndicators. He sold a house doing it, so it works.

Of course, that is what prompted the comment. Vancouver Washington is 250 + - mile distance from Vancouver BC.

Not to be picky, but me thinks, that's stretching the neighborhood concept a bit far don't you? :>)

How about a mind map for those blog posts that are not tied to geography?
