Voice Tech Group’s voice recognition search widget for your desktop is called Tazti (”tasty”). It will let you search the internet with your voice instead of your fingers.
You can use Tazti to search Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask, Wikipedia, About, Youtube, Flickr, MySpace, Ebay, Amazon, AOL Video, and other websites with search capabilities. Tell it a zip code and it will bring you local results from Yahoo and Google. There are currently more than 50 voice commands, including “go webcam”, which can be customized. It can even go mobile. Check out more tasty Tazti features here.
The beta download is closed but a new version is coming shortly. Tazti signals a huge advancement in search, especially for those folks who can’t spell.

Your one comment about “folks who can’t spell” caught my attention. It seems to be that folks can’t do simple arithmetic without a calculator now. Are we going to get so used to voice technology that we won’t even have to write or type any more? I find that rather disturbing.
