We love Meetup.com. It is a great networking tool. Whatever your interest, social or business, there are many others out there who are interested in the same thing and willing to share. It is nationwide. Check it out.
Social networking online is fine but meetups are far better. Here’s why—online relationships require time. Sometimes many months. Many real estate agent bloggers have said that clients were lurkers for many months before they made contact. An offline, face-to-face meetup is a relationship accelerator.
I suspect you can get more information, ideas, inspiration, problem solving, and clients, in one or two meetups, than you can in several month’s worth of blogging or online social networking. Choose face time over Facebook.
