Ten months on the market and still not sold. And despite 3 price reductions, not a single offer.
What’s an owner to do? Well, Angela & Dave Hruby decided to create a website called the worst house in Edina in the hopes that accentuating the negative can’t hurt this listing. It’s a clever sort of reverse psychology marketing. We like it. It got them in the news. And a bunch of visitors to the website. Now the test— will the publicity bring a buyer? If this works, I have the worst mansion on earth for sale.
You can read the whole tale of woe at the website (there is also a blog). Since misery loves company, the owners invite you to share your sorrows. (Note to self: email this to Dave at propertyqube.com)

You know, rule of thumb on ebay is the lower you start the higher it goes…
I say auction it off, starting bid 99 cents!
This should work well the home will have an offer this evening I am sure.
I agree with Teresa. Great tactic they are using. Sounds like a PropertyLife story to me!:)
I think it’s a great way to generate publicity for themselves but as far as attarcting a buyer, I don’t see it…
Why would somebody want to be the person that bought the ugliest house in Edina?
They need a new real estate agent if its been that long. I agree with the auction idea, just get real crazy and put it up for 99 cents and see what happens…
I think they have an agent. At least according to the listing.
