ProQuo is a free service that claims it can reduce your paper junk mail by 50-90% by removing your name and personal information from thousands of mailing lists, telemarketing and data broker lists, catalog distributors and others in the unsolicited mail game. They claim you will start seeing results in 4 weeks, with the full impact after 3 months.
Has anyone tried ProQuo or others trying to save consumers from the junk mail juggernaut?
The company, located in La Jolla, CA, recently raised $8 million with the help of Mission Ventures.

This is a great thing to do and the “green” thing to do as well. When we move we seem to get bombarded with more junk mail then ever and this is a great time to implement this.
When you are finish we a magazine publication share it with others or donate to a doctors office or chuch group. Recycle whenever possible.
I have used catalogchoice.org for a while, and I have found it to be effective. The ProQuo requires that you print out forms and mail them to opt out of some of the solicitations (and I’m not sure if I’m getting stuff from these companies), but it looks useful, so I will utilize it. I hope it works as well as catalogchoice.org.
