[...] Using widgets, you can easily decorate your MySpace page, blog or web site. Entire communities have sprung up virtual overnight to begin to aggregate all the different widgets available to the budding web page author these days. (My personal favorite being Widgetbox)For the real estate professional however, using widgets can mean anything from embedding a Youtube video virtual tour (see Tip Tuesday: Creating a Killer Listing Presentation), to placing a simple Flash-based slideshow (see Splash Some Flash On Your Site) on their site. Another popular widget amongst real estate bloggers right now is the MyBlogLog community, which displays thumbnail images of recent readers in the sidebar.
I see it doesn't show that I typed an "&" wondering if this will do it. so it has to be replace the and sign with and ampersand semicolon.

I installed MyBlogLog and noticed today that suddenly none of my blog posts or pages would validate for W3C compliance.

The MyBlogLog code was the reason. It is a simple fix. Whereever in the code there is & it need to be replaced with & otherwise all of your posts and pages will have 20 generated errors.

I know a lot of us signed up, and I really like the widget, and it turns out to be a pretty simple fix.

I thought you would want to know.

[...] I just came across an interesting podcast with Scott Rafer, the CEO of MyBlogLog, that contains some great insights into the company’s direction. Of couse I HAVE to mention this since it involves my favorite web 2.0 company out there. For instance, one of the more interesting pieces of information I got from it was that MBL has only 25,000 user profiles (and 38,000 registered blogs), but 4 million counted visitors per day to those 38k blogs. MBL has been getting lots of traction in the real estate industry recently-which I think is a great thing that will continue. If you think Active Rain is exploding…check this alexa chart (granted, MBL had a good head start). [...]

Jim

Oh yeah, MBL is really getting some traction. I love that widget too.
MBL's usefulness has not been fully realized---I like connecting with bloggers outside real estate. It may be useful in expanding one's blogging span of influence. After all, real estate touches everyone.

Knowing you Jim, you'll find another useful angle. You have been on quite a roll. Keep it up buddy. The Real Estate Tomato is in season all year round.
