    Dear Sellius,

Thank you kindly for including CityCribs.com in your list, i wanted to let you know that we also offer multiple listing packages for agents and brokers. The best value we offer for individual agents would be our 10 listing plan which allows for 10 listings for 30 days at $29.95. If a property is rented or sold one can repost at any time.

Users are able exercise powerful functions including a profile editor, listings manager, lead manager, traffic analysis, and bulk XML uploads. All of which are included in each membership.

In addition to providing advertisers with an easy to use website and an enormous captive audience of home seekers, CityCribs streams all listings though RSS distribution to vertical search engines like Google Base, oodle, Edgeio and other partners.

For bulk listing packages please visit: http://www.citycribs.com/pricing.php

Thanks again, please let us know if you have any questions about our service.

    Best Regards,
    Gea Elika

Here is a Web 2.0 FSBO site which is free: http://www.forsalebyownercenter.com, Google maps mash-up, Google Earth KML file for each listing, automatic XML feed to Oodle, Backpage, Lycos Classifieds.

  4. 4 Gary Jun 15th, 2006 at 4:51 pm

I think we still send listings to more places then anybody else.
We still have a working craigslist loader for sales
Along with listings to Googlebase, yahoo, Cablevision, LIPress,Real Estate.com, Homeseekers, RealEstateEspanol, Homegain, Lycos Classifieds,
Listing Mania, Homes.com Oodle and more sites always being added.

There will be plenty of sites popping up to fill the void of craigslist, VLS will send to other portals if they produce buyer leads for our agents and brokers

  8. 8 TopNYCapts.com Jun 16th, 2006 at 12:59 pm

    Sellsius,

Thank you for mentioning TopNYCapts.com in your list.

I just wanted to take a minute to point out the our service is best from the Firm Level.

If a brokerage firm becomes a member, then ALL the agents with in that firm are entitled to use our service.

Additionally, we will work with the firms programmers so ALL listings are AUTOMATICALLY added to TopNYCapts.com.

This is a HUGE time saving tool. Now, the Agent only has to enter the listing into their company database and its Automatically entered into TopNYCapts.com.

Listings are LIVE for seven days, and then are REFRESHED.

Of course, an agent can always log in and post one at a time, but the best is still the bulk listing service.

Firms can post up to 10,000 listings a week per channel.

Additionally, we offer FREE real estate blogging for all Agents whose firm has become a member.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to visit the site, or call me through our parent company Serr.biz.

    800.628.5764

    Ask for Michael.

    Thanks again for the mention.

Note: TopNYCapts.com also distributes all listings through various partners such as Google Base, Edgeio, Oodle, MetroMonger.com(beta), and many others.

Also, our traffic is extremely focused on NYC and the metro areas. This means 100% of our traffic is looking for property in NYC and metro.

IHey there — thought you might be interested in a project my friends and I have been working on. Wellcomemat provides a meeting place similar to craigslist, but with video. On Wellcomemat, sellers and agents can upload raw video tours of a property and edit the footage on the site. Home-seekers and renters can then navigate the video listings for a much more detailed view of the property. Agents and sellers can also contact video professionals in their area to film a property. It’s a meeting place for the the next step in online real estate. We just launched the beta,… check it out…

  15. 15 Gary Jun 18th, 2006 at 7:57 am

    Thanks April,

I always ask agents where they want their listings to be posted, I will review those web sites and may add some of them to our list of portals. We are always adding new portals, or we build them ourselves.

My company sets up accounts with agents or brokers and we feed the listiings automatically to yahoo classifeds Googlebase, LIPRess, Cablevision,RealEstate.com, Homeseekers, Real Estate Espanol, HomeGain, Brooklyn Home Info, Real-Estate.com Lycos Classifeds, Listing Mania, Homes.com, oodle, we have a craigslist loader and if you have accounts with pay sites like the NY Times we send there to.

I applogize for the shamless promotion of my company postyourlistings.com
But I enjoy reading agent feedback on your web site,

  16. 16 sellsius° Jun 19th, 2006 at 7:39 pm

Thanks for the comment Nik. But doesn’t the fact that craigslist is now charging HELP your site which is free? Craislisters are now coming to sites like yours for the free listing bonanza.

If craigslist went back to free wouldn’t you lose the brokers who jumped ship from craig? Please explain the logic behind your petition. thanks

  17. 17 Nik Jun 20th, 2006 at 9:59 am

    Hi Sellsius,

Very simple… our motivation to be an equalizer in the industry is just as strong as our motivation to create a profitable website. We’re very comfortable and secure in our creation and feel it’s hypocritical of us to stop fighting for brokers just to grab few extra postings. That’s the very reason brokers were betrayed by Craig… his convictions only went so far. We’re fighting for the betterment of an industry. That way brokers move more listings, make more money and have the means to support solid websites and other forms of advertising.

What’s wrong is wrong. We got an audience before Craig started charging and I’m confident that we’d retain our following even if he changes his mind. There is no rule you can’t post in two places. He’s hurting the very people who’ve make us the #1 non-corporate Real Estate site in NY (even before CL charged) and it’s our job to support the people who’ve trusted us.

We don’t EVER intend to make money of broker’s postings so with that thought we have the full ability to fight WITH the broker for a better way of doing business.

  18. 18 sellsius° Jun 20th, 2006 at 12:49 pm

nik - does your site experience any of the issues that craigslist did?

    -rdb°

  19. 19 mr mania Jun 20th, 2006 at 4:17 pm

    RDB-

Luckily not at the moment, but as it grows there will undoubtedly be
some byproducts of having a very public forum. That being said, we put
a lot of effort into finding unique ways to bypass some of CL’s issues
and so far it’s smooth. We do about 120,000 listing a month without
much repetition.. which is a nice start.

Listings too often get lost on CL and that leads to people re-posting
the same properties at an alarming clip. The idea is to find ways of
giving additional value to each posting so that brokers aren’t in a mad
rush to repost. They’ll always be people that do it, but if they have
more confidence in the post they create, they’ll be less inclined to
    abuse the system.

The way the site is laid out is very intentional…. every inch of it.
It might seem a bit bare boned, but it’s actually crafted to work
specifically with the same market hitting CL, while also opening up the
doors to areas that CL has ignored.

My hope is that people see that the opportunity is there to rebuild what
once was with CL, only this time work together to make it strong. A
cleaner site is a better product for the consumer and in the end will
    attract brokers more business.

If there are any other issues with CL you’d like to address in terms of
    LM.. ask away.
