Gmail Manager is a Firefox Add On that lets you easily access and manage your multiple email accounts from your browser, including receiving new mail notifications.
After downloading, click “Options” to add your various Gmail accounts and preferences:
The Gmail Manager icon will sit at the bottom of your screen, where you can see new mail notifications (right click) & new mail snippets (via mouse over) or automatically login to any of the accounts. You can also open an account in a tab.

TIP: While GMail Manager only works with multiple Gmail accounts, you can access other email accounts by forwarding them to one of your Gmail accounts via the Settings tab.
