I discovered this jewel on a Tauck Tour through New England. Hovey Manor is just 20 minutes north of the Vermont border! The Manoir oozes charm with canopy beds, fireplaces, English gardens and balconies overlooking the lake. The food is gourmet delicious, the setting ultra romantic. Best of all, it’s affordable. The 2006 room rates ranged from $104 - $217 USD per person (the best suites) during low season (Jan. 4 - June 22/Oct. 9 - Dec. 21) and from $120-267 in high season (June 23 - Oct. 8/Dec. 22 - Jan. 3). They also offer special winter packages.
