Public Vote on Governors Island

The Vote Leader at 51% (Prow)

Governors Island is an idyllic oasis in the middle of New York Harbor. It is being developed by New York City. But how?

We saw this article on New York Post online yesterday announcing the current design leader in a public opinion “poll” being run by the Governors Island Alliance. Early results are for parkland on all sides of Governors Island (as per rendering above called “Prow”). Go to the site and be counted. Official press release here.

I vote D: None of the Above.
This is NYC - where is all of the housing, office, retail - seriously, why so much green space? What a waste of FAR. Build a vibrant, energetic new neighborhood!! We are all screaming for more housing - is anyone listening???????? We need more housing - build it there!!!!!!
