    In a neighborhood I used to live in, a teenage kid murdered his father with a knife, then left him in the basement until the the smell was so bad that a neighbor complained to the police.

    I have no idea if this was actually disclosed to the new buyer but I did enjoy the comments in the MLS. “New carpet and paint!”

    Believe it or not, in some states you are not required to disclose a murder or other crime in the house.
