Jeff Turner of Real Estate Shows tipped us off to Jott. Jott lets you send an email via your cellphone. Jott converts your voicemail (up to 15 seconds) to text and sends it to your email box or to another person or group’s email or as a phone text message. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
I called Jott and left myself a voice message. I checked my email and there it was, in text, together with the voicemail link. All your messages are also accessible at jott.com.
Jott is a useful tool to send email or cell phone text messages to another person or groups of people. Put Jott in your speed dial and whenever you need to send a message, call it in to Jott and route it to the people you need to reach. They will receive your voice message in their email box and/or as a text message on their cell phone. That’s great for me because I hate sending text messages by cell phone.
But here’s an interesting feature: Jott Blogging. I haven’t tried it yet but Jeff did. The text translation is off but it has potential. If you’re on the road and see something you just have to blog, but don’t have your computer, just Jott it to your blog.
I ran this voice to text blogging idea by Kevin Boer, Pat Kitano and Travis Chow (of Neighboroo) at Inman NYC Connect in January and here it is.
Thanks for the tip Jeff.
