These two social media buttons let others easily share your blog content to the hot social media cocktail party at Twitter and the backyard barbeque at Facebook:
1. Facebook Share button plugin. (Wordpress).
The Facebook Share (new) button displays a current count of how many times your post has been shared on Facebook.
You also get click analytics –from your admin see share clicks, count clicks, like clicks or comment clicks for your posts in the Facebook world.
2. The Tweetmeme Retweet button is very similar to the Facebook Share button (Download the Tweetmeme Retweet plugin here).
Both plugins can be customizedfrom the dashboard (location, type, etc).
For Tweetmeme, I recommend changing the retweet Source to @yourtwitter name.
While I also use the ShareThis plugin, Adam Hirsch of Mashable said, during a panel at ad:tech New York, he prefers custom individual share buttons. These 2 seem to be the social media sharing buttons de jure.
