Drive Thru Real Estate: Marketing to the Mobile Consumer

Real Estate to Go

We live in a mobile, drive-thru world– be it burgers or banks, coffee or drugs, we want everything to go.  Heck, you can even get married without getting your butt out of your car.  Thus, I propose a drive-thru real estate office.  Eat in or take out.

Here’s how it works–

Outside your real estate office, you display a large outdoor menu of real estate fast food and fixins,  such as:

  • New listings
  • Home valuation
  • Mortgage information
  • Staging information
  • Home improvement/repair information
  • Marketing information
  • Other stuff…. heck, add a Dollar Menu of homes listed well below market value

I’d even put in a search listings screen.  Maybe like this one I saw in South Beach, Miami, FL.  Like the place in Florida, keep the service on 24/7.

Folks drive up (or walk up) and place their order automatically (or they could speak to a live agent via a chat phone).   The system would deliver the printed material to the consumer, branded, of course, with the real estate office logo, smiling agent’s face and contact information. The consumer drives off and tells his friends and neighbors “you won’t believe this”.

Knowing what I do about people’s reluctance to walk into a real estate office, this might work.  Heck, the publicity alone would put you on the news.

If anyone knows about such a place, please let me know.

  • this is insteresting? that's a good idea of selling house by drive thru. impressive
  • If I remember correctly, since it has been awhile - There were buttons you could push on a certain listings and it would share a recorded information about the property. Certainly, it was not a drive-through; since it was located inside this mall.
  • Really? What did it look like?
  • Interesting way of advertising listings as I have seen it in a shopping mall one time in Brandon, FL - too bad the buttons you had to push did not work. Consumer's curiosity definitely would peak their interest.
