Embed Any Document Into Your Blog or Website with DocStoc

Embed WORD documents, Pdf, Power Point presentations or Excel spreadsheets into your blog posts with DocStoc. It’s as easy as embedding a YouTube video.

Here’s how you do it:

1. Upload the document to docstoc.com. (You can upload anonymously, keep your documents private or reserve full copyright to any made public). Uploading is very simple. You can describe, tag and categorize. (If you join docstoc, you can add a profile and photo which will display on your documents in the default profile view.)

2. Go to the page on docstoc where the document is stored and copy the embed code. (search by title)

3. Paste the code into your blog.

TIP: You may want to adjust the width setting (set at 670). You can choose to include related documents, documents from the same author and statistics.

You can also search docstoc for documents.

Here’s a NDA uploaded through docstoc:

  • That's really cool. I use Safari at home and it automatically switches any document into view like that. Really has been a great time saver and convenience.

Going to download it right now for my PC. Thanks!

  • Hey Christian!

Things are great by me. (I've been meaning to touch base w/ you on something.)

Hope all is well with you and the whole Mat crew.

I just read about WellcomeMat's Top 5 Videos feature. Great idea.

Look forward to seeing you at Inman unless you come east to the Apple before then-- we'll do the town---you, me and PdV.
  • Great tip! I've been meaning to check some of these companies out. Hope all is well Joe!
  • That is a good idea Dallas.
  • Nice tool. The PDF integration seem to work pretty well, and it could be handy for those blogs where you don't have direct access to store files.
  • This is great stuff. I've been looking for something like this on the web. Trying to copy and paste from Excel or PDFs to our blog has been very difficult and the format never comes out the way you want it. This could be real nice for embedding document with home mortgage rate charts.

    Thanks,
    Dallas
