(GETTY)
This 50 ft. 37 ton mechanical spider appeared on the Concourse Tower building in Liverpool, England. It was built by a French company called, appropriately, La Machine and brought to the UK by event company Artichoke.
Helen Marriage, the producer of the 5 day event, said of the spider, made of steel and poplar wood:
“It has 50 axes of movement so all of it moves as you would expect an insect to move. It is an unfolding story that takes place in all the public spaces in the city using the great buildings as its stage.”
Tens of thousands are expected to experience it as it walks the streets.
Artichoke’s last event, the Sultan’s Elephant, attracted a million folks.
Event-based marketing uses experiences (mostly offline) to create brand awareness and a positive emotional connection with the brand. Real estate conferences, trade shows and seminars are typical examples. A cross country blog tour is another way to go. Why not stage an event to help market your real estate business? How-to seminars or workshops are always popular.
I dedicate this post to my favorite spiderman, Larry Cragun, of the Undressed blogs.
