First Virtual Real Estate Bar Camp, November 17, 2009

virtual real estate bar camp

No airfare. No hotel.  No crowded conference rooms.   Heck, no real conference rooms at all.

Jim Cronin, the brain behind the Real Estate Tomato blogs, has put together the first ever (as far as I know) Virtual Real Estate Bar Camp, as online webinars– 27 of them, in 3 online Rooms.  [The Virtual Bar Camp is dedicated to the memory of Kevin Warmath.]

It is a one day event, tomorrow, November 17, 2009—- 9:00-3:45 pm PST

I was asked to be part of it and was happy to do a session on Future Real Estate Brokerage (which may be virtual too).  All real estate agents unhappy with their brokers or the brokerage model are welcome to attend and offer up a solution. In Room #1. Click here to go to Room #1

Attendance is close to 1300 already.  Register for free here.

The schedule is below (click image to enlarge).  The sessions are happening in three separate rooms.   Come by if you have the chance.  Since it’s online, no dress code (or clothes) required.

Each “Webinar Room” has a separate Access Link, Call-In-Number and Access Code. Get more Event info here.

  • I had to leave early; are you posting your presentation about the Future Real Estate Brokerage anywhere?
  • If I can get a copy, Susie, I will post it here.
  • I know this is hot! hot! hot! Especially with the caliber of presenters. I guess I'm just old fashioned. I like seeing people F2F at these things, be able to ask questions, catching up. I always get distracted at virtual education things. The phone rings. I answer. The cat cries for food. I go feed her. Decide I need to go to the store. Whatever.

With 1300 people signed up and the big name sponsors you can't really argue with success. For me, though, it just ain't the same.

    ******update******

Ooops. Just saw the live locations at various Broker venues and the Meetups. Shucks. I waited too long to look into this. I actually have client appointments tomorrow.
  • As always, your insight is appreciated. There is a tradeoff. F2F is my preference. But virtual is less expensive.
