Imagine you have a problem with your listings on Trulia. You write emails and wait …. and wait…. and wait some more. Is you head steaming? Are you pissed off? Wish you could do something more?
Well, I may have a solution for you: Complain on TruliaVoices.
Vincent, tired of writing emails without results, took his gripe directly to the TruliaVoices forum and got a resolution right away. Hmm…. maybe this transparency thing has some benefits —– take your complaint online folks.
Here’s the exchange:
How can I get an un-authorized source from posting our listings on Trulia.com and stealing our traffic?
Vincent
Just Looking
Charlotte
We have have over 1200 active listings and an agreement with ListHub.net to submit all our listings. The property detail link is supposed to be http://www.charlotteproperty.com/MLS# which would route the listing inquiry straight to the listing agent. Instead it goes to charlottehomesource.net which we don’t own and have never specified….even though on the property listing it says it is going to charlotteproperty.com.
When I search for 5419 Addison, Charlotte, NC, I get this page:
http://www.trulia.com/property/1068770596-5419-Addison-Dr-Ch…
When I click for more info, it takes me here:
http://www.charlottehomesource.net/details.html?searchid=
Email support is frustrating. It took them almost a month to respond and they told me that my company doesn’t currently submit listings (even though I’ve found everyone of the 1200 that I’ve searched for) and/or this is listhub.net’s issue.
ListHub.net is sending the feed. Trulia is taking someone else’s instead.

Trulia responded immediately to fix the problem:
Hi Vincent,
Thank you for reaching out to us on Trulia Voices. I’m terribly sorry that this problem has yet to be fixed and I’ve requested that our Customer Service Team revisit the issue. You should hear from one of my colleagues very soon either via email or here on this thread.
Thank you for your patience.
Best Wishes,
