Hand to Hand Marketing: House for Sale Business Cards

Here’s a twist on the business card– the house for sale business card.

Why not take high quality photographs of your listings, add some listing details and a link to the home website, and hand them out as business cards? Perhaps it might help in your listing presentation too. A home is like a child and the owners are the proud parents– they love when their home is made to feel special.

Having ordered from the company, I highly recommend Moo Cards because you can design them online and mix-and-match images and messages on your business card order — each card, in fact, can be unique. (who else does that?)
Moo recently added a full size business card format. (I use the skinny MiniCards because I love the holder). (Moo won a 2008 People’s Voice Webby Award)

Moo Card Products:

50 Full size business cards: $21.99 (new)

100 MinCards: $19.99

MinCard Holder : $4.99

What do you think of advertising homes on business cards? Good idea or waste of paper? Has anyone tried it?

  • Question- Do you think the price of the property should be on the card? Or just the web address and no price?
  • That's a great question Heather. I would put the price... but here's an
    idea:

Since MOO allows you to customize the cards, you chould put the price on
half the cards and no price on the other half and see which gets more calls.

If the listing is online, put the listing url on the card.

I used to make these using Avery Label Software for Business Cards for Listings with a picture of the property on the front and some property information plus my contact information on the back. They're fun and Sellers love them. These look cool and more professional and the box makes it easier for sellers to keep a supply. Thanks for the tip.
  • Thanks for sharing JudyPete.

It's great to hear that folks have had positive feedback from sellers.
  • Yes, I have been doing this for about a year....I give the Sellers some to pass out, and I pass out some.
  • I have been using moo cards for about a year. people really seem to like them. I don't put my listings on them I put pictures of St. Paul on them. Landmarks, bridges, the river, the same photos I use on my blog. People really notice the cards and tend to keep them.
  • What is the text on the back? I've been considering doing this- Photo and Bed,Bath, SF & web address on the front. Who I am on the back.
  • On Moo.com you get 11 lines of text, 39 characters per line on the back.
  • We just had some cards made up for a listing from ListingCard.net that are great. They're oversized business cards, 3.5 x 2.75" and we've gotten a lot of comment about them. Priced at $49 for 300 we think that's a great deal.
  • That is certainly a great price. How do you get them in circulation?
  • That's great Vicki! Thanks for sharing.
  • I've done it and people really like it. I have printed them on photo paper, with my contact info on the back, and then cut them on a paper cutter. I have even given them to the seller's kids to pass out at school. Instead of just my contact info, I put the kid's name on them like : "Bobby Jones, special assistant to Vicki Lloyd."
