Ice Cream Marketing: Loans and Cones

Looking for a cool marketing plan for summer? How about Ice Cream?
Webster Bank in New York is driving around town offering free ice cream to all:

Beginning on Wednesday, June 25 through Sunday, June 29, we will be giving away free ice cream throughout Westchester and Fairfield County. Over these five days, Webster Ice Cream Trucks will visit a number of parks, recreational and shopping areas across lower Fairfield County and Westchester County handing out free ice cream to all comers.

In order to create a relationship, you have to start with an introduction and some sort of ice breaker. The folks with the cold cash went with cold ice cream.
