MyDealBook says it’s the largest cross-industry real estate professional networking site– bringing principals, service providers and deal makers together. The website says it has 300,000 members. Now, that’s some network. Another profile for the Google search beast.

That’s amazing, 300K before launching…. unfortunately they want me to submit 5 of my contacts before they will let me see 1 of their 300k.
Interesting. That’s one way to increase membership — but that brings into question how many members are there by choice and how many were pulled in by other members. Will have to investigate further. Thanks Trace.
I found the same problem when signing up to connect to Dustin Luther. I had to provide 5 email addresses to search for Dustin. I did it, but I’d bet those 300,000 are mostly just emails never opened.
Look me up if anyone signs up: http://mydealbook.com/profiles/brad-nix
I’m going to speak to the CEO and see if I can get to the bottom of things.
This is the spin-off of PropertyShark, I think. Ryan Slack (the former CEO of propertyshark) started it.
They took the propertyshark user database and used it to seed the social network. So of the “300K users” probably only a handful of them realize that they’re actually in this social network.
