Rabid Redfin Bites Barbie… and Self

Here’s a lesson on blogging for business– not.  Glenn Kelman has apologized for the post.

  • It is always telling when someone starts by saying im not going to bash anyone then proceeds to do exactly that. It is nice to see she apologized...
  • This whole thing was unbelievable. Professionals should act like professionals.
  • Don't bash people, regardless of their profession, when they are doing a great thing for their community. Food drives are needed year round- not just during the holiday season.
  • This is not the way to market a business online. Still, Redfin may get noticed because of the controversy. They say there's no such thing as bad publicity.

They also made the mistake of not having company people review the work of independent contractors hired to write content, prior to publication on the blog. That part I do not understand.
  • It is truly ashame that someone doing such a helpful project gets raked across the coals for it. Don't know either party, but have to give Kris and Steve a big pat on their backs for a job well done.
  • I'll try again - you are funny Joe! very funny!
  • Hi Ines

Laughter is good for you :)
  • I discovered that changing my e-mail address let me post here (it's been a long time) - I guess I'm so bad your spam control doesn't like me.
  • Nice to have you back, Ines :)
