Real Property Law of Trespass Used to Exclude Ralph Nader From Presidential Debates

Ralph Nader is running for President but he can’t get in to the Presidential Debates. Apparently, the debates are a private party in the organizers’ living rooms and no rabble-rousers are allowed to disturb the guests and contributors, even if they are Presidential candidates with a ticket. Seems the real property law of Trespass is as powerful as a Tazer, bro. (Hmm.. trespass law & protectionism to stifle speech– where have I heard that logic before?)

[Note: Nader sued the Presidential Debate commission and won. If you watch the video, at 8:20 they talk about a Facebook page being created to mark potential trespassers, with Nader's name and photo at the top of the list.]

The third, and final, “major candidate” Presidential debate will be held tonight at Hofstra University in Long Island, NY.

PS: An online debate is planned here.

  • Does anyone realize that there are 9 individuals running for president??? I just learned that today from a friend. :)
  • Joe,

I am sure many of us will be watching debates tonight. I think though the fact that other candidates are not invited to the debates testifies poorly about democracy here in US.

I wish other would be admitted. Ron Paul had a convention on his own which was barely mentioned by the media. The size of his convention was probably large in numbers.

I don't know if I would like to see Nader at the debates (am I a hypocrite or what?) but would not mind to hear from Bob Barr.

I think voters would have more to choose from. In a way I am feel blessed that I can't vote yet and I don't envy my wife.

Good luck choosing the best candidate for this country! ;)
