How to Sell Real Estate Like Burgers: Buy One House, Get an Apartment for Free

Like buying a Whopper and getting a Whopper Jr. for free, buy a house from PJ Doherty Construction in Milford, County Donegal, Ireland, and the developer will throw in a new, furnished 410-square foot apartment on the Black Sea, about 10 miles from Varna, Bulgaria.

Says Mr. Doherty, “In times when things are difficult, you have to be adventurous with the market and create new ideas for selling your products.”

Ah, yeah PJ, can I get fries with that?

  • Last month I were in a real estate fair in Malaga, Spain. But, in my opinion, they did it worst, 2x1. Does these promoters/developers think that this clients don't know about pricing? please, reduce the prices but do not offer, cars, homes or dream travels to the moon. I think that is it more simple and efficient than that. If you offer a 50% discount will work better. Don't you think so?
    greetings from spain.
  • Yes. I agree. Most buyers would definitely prefer the price discount, esp.
when we're talking about an apt so far away-- & even if free, there are
costs associated with owning a second piece of property.

BETTER IDEA: Give buyers the OPTION

    Thanks Marbella.
  • I heard of a California builder offering the same type of deal recently. Desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose. And they wonder why real estate is now being bought and sold like a commodity.
  • Let me get this straight. Buy a house in Ireland and I get a furnished apartment in Bulgaria for free?! Hmmmm. Geez. Let me think about that. OK, I'm done. no freakin' way. Google tells me that's 3,480 km. I don't think so.
