For those sipping at the social media cocktail party, be forewarned of the hazards. Social media is addictive. It starts on weekends and a few times during the week. Before you know it, these things, and worse, can happen to you:
from everywhere
You become rooted to your computer screen. (thankfully cell phone technology is allowing you to participate on social media while you drive)
You’d rather twitter your virtual friends than talk to the flesh and blood ones.
You won’t travel without your computer.
What’s more, you might pass it on to your children.
If you see your loved ones showing any of these warning signs, get them help immediately.
This has been a public service announcement by SPSMA (Society for the Prevention of Social Media Addiction).
