Splashcast Partners with Hulu: Add TV Channels to Your Facebook or MySpace Page

Splashcast Media has teamed with Hulu to let users create video channels featuring content from Hulu, which they can then add to their Facebook or MySpace pages, blogs or websites. It’s like having your own personal TV station. It’s FREE.

To get started you’ll have to set up a free account at Splashcast and add the Spashcast application to your Facebook or MySpace page. That’s it. Now you can build your TV channel. (You can, of course, create your own Splashcasts and add those to your channel– see my Channel at the end of this post where I added a slideshow using Blog Tour photos from Flickr).

Here is what you’ll find on Facebook to get you started adding channels. Click the Splashcast application icon and then “Search for a Show”

Search for shows using keywords:

Now pick as many shows as you like and click “Save”. You’re done.

Once you’ve added shows to your channel you can reorder them, preview, edit or delete them. Your Facebook Channel dash will look like this:

If you want to embed your channel for broadcast on your website or blog go to your Channel Settings and copy and paste the HTML code .

An interesting feature is the ability of viewers to leave text, audio or video comments on your channel. They can also share the channel with others via email or Twitter.
