  • It is no surprise that cleaning and de-cluttering the at the top of the list. I am always surprised at the condition of some people's homes (a lot, actually) when I show them to potential buyers. Laundry on the floor, dirty dishes in the sink, knick knacks everywhere, pictures or "art" on every square inch of wall space, piles of papers.

    I completely understand the pack rat mentality but when it comes time to sell your home it's time to move it to a storage place somewhere or trash it.
