For folks interested in search engine information on a website or blog they are visiting — (maybe to make an intelligent comment and get a backlink?), try the SEOQuake Firefox extension. (There is also an Internet Explorer version)
SEOQuake creates a browser toolbar that displays a slew of parameters on the website you are visiting, including:
- IP Address
- Whois
- GooglePage Rank
- Compete Rank
- Alexa ranking
- Inbound links
- No Follows, and much more.
You can even compare URLs and domains. It is also possible to see the SEOQuake stats on Google SERP pages.

According to the site, SEOQuake is clean:
Softpedia guarantees that SeoQuake is 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors.
This stuff can get a little geeky, so they offer a couple of Tutorials on how to use SEOQuake. (Not that helpful, really.)
They have a blog. (a little better)
Give SEOQuake a try and see things through a geek’s eyes.
