WellcomeMat Powers Halstead Property Real Estate Video

New York City brokerage Halstead Properties has teamed with leading video network Wellcome Mat to launch a searchable real estate video site called Halstead ProperTV.

Real Estate KEYWORD SEARCH

As far as I know, this is the first real estate video site where buyers can search for property via tags and keywords.

Halstead ProperTV also allows users to virtually meet brokers, tour neighborhoods with a guide and catch up on the latest news about the market.

From the website:

Video channels include:

  • Property Tours leads viewers through listings with Halstead Property agents. These friendly hosts discuss finishes and features offered throughout the home, as well as introduce them to the building.
  • Agent Bios gives users a chance to meet the personality behind an agent’s written bio and headshot. The online video showcase the agent’s history in the industry and features client recommendations as well as the agent’s hobbies and favorite areas in the city.
  • Developments offer a glimpse into the latest new developments that Halstead Property is representing, providing a full tour without having to set an appointment.
  • Recent Press is a one-stop shop for all media appearances that our listings, agents and executives have made in the past few months.
  • Neighborhoods take viewers to an area where Halstead has a storefront office and the video is narrated by that office’s Director of Sales. Viewers are able to get an intimate look at a neighborhood with a tour guide that’s an expert in the people, properties and businesses that make an area tick.
  • Real Access offers users an inside look into Halstead Property. In addition to the quarterly “Behind the Numbers” segment, which explains our market reports in a straightforward, fresh manner, this channel will also provide sneak peeks into corporate events.
  • How To will provide brief tutorials for Halstead’s other Web-based initiatives, such as the Online Portfolio.

“I am extremely proud of the fact that our company is always on the cutting edge of technology and we are constantly thinking of innovative strategies when it comes to real estate and marketing. …The new video component of our website really showcases who Halstead is a company and I am excited to share this amazing new tool with our clients and customers,” said Halstead President Diane M. Ramirez.

Hope this catches on in the UK . Sounds a great idea
  • The problem with video search in the real estate business has never been building the feature of search. In fact, that is brain-dead easy: search is a function that we eliminated from WellcomeMat in 2006. Bottom line is that no national-level real estate video search is worth doing (take a look for yourselves). Content anyone?

Brokers can and should own video search in their coverage areas and Halstead should rightfully be celebrated for taking a step towards doing so. Thanks very much for diving into the details Joe!
  • Ah good to see Tony's back at it again with the 'friendly' comments. Regardless, congrats on the new launch buddy! My favorite part is the countdown.
  • Vidlisting.com has had contextual search available for video on broker sites since late 2007. We have had a platform level developer programming interface available for keyword and contextual searches since mid-2008 (see the API documentation at http://api.forsalebylocals.com/docs/GetContentF... ).

We've moved the same search functionality over to our vidlisting site redesign which goes live later today.

    This isnt anything new.
  • Will have to take a look. Can you link me to a broker video search site,
    Tony?
  • Aha, you may be correct on the broker video search first!
  • "As far as I know, this is the first real estate video site where buyers can search for property via tags and keywords." Actually, http://realtyvid.com/ was one of the first to offer search by keywords or property details for real estate videos. http://www.zipvo.com/ now offers the same function.
  • I guess I should have said "real estate broker's" website. Thanks Brad.
