During a notorious conversation with Rob Hahn, toiling VP of Marketing for Onboard Informatics, the company that brought real estate search out of the Dark Ages with its Lifestyle Listings Search Engine, we questioned the efficacy of the real estate panel format.
While highly informative, panels tended to dovetail into group high-fives, with little disagreement between the panelists. We agreed that a debate format was perhaps a more interesting way to explore a topic. It could certainly polarize an audience to the point of engagement on one side or the other. And from the furnace of heated debate we might forge a better understanding. What the heck, we thought it was worth a try.
We tested the format in a virtual Real Estate debate on the need for a lifestyle real estate search. It seemed to draw out the results we were looking for. You can listen to that debate here.

The keynote presentation will be given by Dave Jenks, a leader in the real industry and co-author of four best selling books, including “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent.” Jenks has spent close to 30 years in real estate with Century 21 and Keller Williams Realty. He recently launched FreeEnterpriseWarriors.com a Web-based company dedicated to providing business wisdom, strategies and tactics to the growing entrepreneurial global transformation.
REtechSouth will challenge the technically advanced attendee while still delivering the nuts and bolts of getting started to beginners. The schedule of events for the day strives to answer some of the most pressing industry questions. The conference will start with a State of the REunion address, a conversation about the current market and marketing conditions.
