Real Estate Porn: Ad Edition

I seem to be finding more and more real estate ads using sex appeal to sell.

This is for the Gansevoort Hotel in South Beach, FL. What’s with the camera in the sauna?

Another ad for the hotel was defaced.

The Tribeca GrandHotel in Manhattan advertises “Tryst in Tribeca” on its website:

Found this one at copyranter:

Here’s an ad for District condos in New York’s financial district (New York Magazine):

The website home page has this image:

Here are some images of the amenities. The kitchen:

The bath:

The counters are well built:

Do you think these “lifestyle” ads help sell the property?

Joseph, well the Mayflower Hotel here in D.C. could run a new ad featuring Ashley Alexander Dupree & former governor Spitzer!

Eventually someone will go all the way and shoot an actual porn movie in a listing and sell it at the open house.

I have no idea if that will work, I’m just saying someone is gonna do it.

Maybe it will work on the 20 something guys - but do they buy houses? I find the kitchen, bath, and counter photos annoying - and would find them just as annoying even with a half nude Johnny Depp standing there by the fridge…or in the shower. If I’m searching for real estate, I want to see what I actually GET. But maybe that’s a sign that I’m getting old, and turning into my parents…

    Isn’t working for me.

These “lifestyle” ads seem to be targeted to younger men. Funny, but I have not found any aimed toward the female buyer (and I did look)…hmmm.. this calls for more detective work. If anyone comes across any, please send them over.
