MLSLI is one of the largest MLS in the country (6th I think) and their annual TechFair brings out the industry heavies– Exhibitors list here. My information put the event turnout at over 500– evidence of Realtors’ interest in using new technology, video, blogging and social networking to improve their business, their brand and, most importantly, the marketing of real estate.
Thanks to Jenny Natale, Beth O’Connor, Katie Windham and everyone else from MLSLI who helped organize this outstanding conference.
I was on a blogging panel with Linda Davis and Chris Frerecks. The moderator was Dan Green. The discussion was lively. One way I measure success is the number of questions fielded and number of folks who come looking for you after the panel. I gave the panel an A.
I have to give kudos to Dan Green for using technology to take questions from the audience. Rather than waiting for folks to get to a microphone, he posted his cell phone number on the projection screen so folks could text their questions. It really helped keep the conversation going. I highly recommend this technique to moderators.
I sat in on the video panel with Kelly Roark (FrontDoor) Phil Thomas Di Guilio (”Phil de Video”) (WellcomeMat) and Hector Davilla (Diamond Home Videos). All gave great presentations on the marketing options provided by video.
Mat Man made an appearance and attracted an adoring crowd:
